Ok so I think it's day 3 of using the points system to try and shed some much need pounds I gained after the food shoots for this book. So far so good, it's easy to follow not quite as hungry as I was the first day. I had to talk myself out of some Miss Vicky's sea salt and malt chips today. That was an exhausting conversation I had with myself. I'm still craving them but opted for some pickles instead, not quite the same but still tasty....Let's see if I can hold out.

So my friend's and I have formed a group to lose some much needed pounds. Everyone keeps telling me I'm lucky I gain wait in all the right places. Which is true! But i've started gaining weight in all the wrong places as well. I think my back fat and love handles have actually formed a union. They say never trust a skinny cook, I love that. I know I will never be skinny, especially since I replace many meals with frozen cookie dough. So this group is based on the points system. I find this works well with me. I eat chocolate everyday, if I don't have chocolate, trust me you want to keep your distance. So this system still allows me to eat the food I love but you have to remain in the points allowed for the day. Coolio, so for lunch I ate a basic salad (no points) and a glass of white wine. Since I don't have much substance in my stomach i'm getting pretty typsy from the wine. Which would not be an issue if I weren't writing the index page for my book. I apologize if my index page is not as organized as it should be. But do people really look at an index? Especially for a cookbook. Personally the pictures are my index. Anyway i''l keep ya'll posted in my progress. I'm hoping 10 pounds before my book launch.If I don;t get a handle on things my butt is going to take over Toronto soon...true story

So today I signed up for a 5k run with my gym. Running outdoors is sooo much harder then the treadmill. Winter made me forget all about this as I will not run outside if there is any snow. The run was great I only stopped once going up a pretty darn steep hill. My problem is after the run I ran a couple errands and then of course ended up buying some dark chocolate with sea salt.MMMMM. I run and then eat chocolate. Why can't I crave carrots or a protein shake? Whoever says a chocolate protein shake is a great replacement for chocolate is sorrily mistaken. I must have some pretty darn sensitive taste buds, the only replacement for chocolate is actual chocolate!

I don't know about you but I need some serious tunes when I am baking. Music just makes my baked goods turn out better. My latest cd which is a bit of a stretch from my country music is the new T.I. cd, not only is that man cute but super talented too. The duet he does with J.T. is my new fav on my I Pod. So what do you listen to you when you bake...or what songs helped you through some of your dating escapades. I know if it wasn't for Paul Brandt's "I'm Leaving" I would have stayed even longer in a relationship that already in my mind had been over for a couple of years.

Hi there, the book is only moments away from being sent to the printer's. If all goes well it should be available for sale in April. I will keep you all posted on the book's progress. I'm looking forward to having the finished product in my hand and I can't wait to share it with everyone. Have a lovely St. Patrick's Day everyone! May the luck of the Irish be with you.
